### Lesson Activities:
#### 1. Introduction to Moderation (10 minutes)
- Begin with a brief warm-up activity: Ask students to balance on one foot and then on two feet. Have a discussion on which is easier and why balancing something is important.
- Introduce the word "moderation" and ask students what they think it means. Note their responses on the whiteboard.
- Provide a simple definition: "Moderation means not doing too much or too little, but keeping things balanced."
#### 2. Bible Story and Discussion (20 minutes)
- Read and discuss the story of Daniel and his friends in the Babylonian court (Daniel 1:8-16).
- Highlight how Daniel and his friends chose to eat moderately and refused indulgent foods.
- Discuss key points and ask questions like:
- Why did Daniel choose to eat moderately?
- How did God honor their decision?
- What can we learn from Daniel's example?
#### 3. Activity: Moderation Scenarios (15 minutes)
- Divide students into small groups and hand out printed scenarios that require moderate decision-making (e.g., choosing between finishing all homework at once or breaking it down into manageable parts).
- Ask each group to discuss their scenario and decide on the most moderate action.
- Have each group present their scenario and solution to the class.
#### 4. Reflection and Prayer (10 minutes)
- Lead a reflection activity where students share times they practiced or could have practiced moderation.
- Write a group prayer asking for guidance to live balanced and moderate lives like Daniel and his friends.
- Encourage each student to say a sentence-thankful prayer focusing on moderation.
#### 5. Homework Assignment (5 minutes)
- Assign students to write about a situation in their daily lives where they can practice moderation (e.g., screen time, food habits).
- Ask them to include why moderation is important in that situation and how it can positively impact their lives.
